A Little Note to Parents

Dear Parents,

We’re still in the process of redesigning and reorganizing our little blog here at youthcrossing.org.  If you haven’t had a chance to look around, we just want to take a brief moment and point you to a couple of free resources we have available for you here at the site.

youthcrossing.org/parents
First, we’ve built a special website just for you.  You can click here to head over to youthcrossing.org/parents to find weekly updates on what we’re talking about at each of our youth services, as well as articles written specifically for parents of teenagers.  We’re always updating the site with new content, so make sure you check back often to see what’s new.

Internet/Social Media Resources
Many of you attended our most recent Parent Round Table discussion on the internet and social media.  We had a great conversation at all 3 campuses on the topic of raising a teenager in today’s technologically advanced world.  Here is a list of all the resources we talked about during those discussions.  If you were not able to attend, this is a great way to catch yourself up on a lot of the stuff we talked about.  (By the way, this is a good example of the type of stuff we’re posting to the new parents’ website we just mentioned above.)

Parent Newsflash
Finally, sign up here to receive occasional email updates and stay in the loop with everything that is going on around youthcrossing.  We promise not to spam you.

As always, if there is anything we can do to help, please feel free to email us at youth@wcrossing.org, or give us a call at 636-532-1212.

Summer news and updates

There is a LOT going on at youthcrossing over the next few weeks as we head into summer.  Browse through the rest of the site to get all the details, but here is a list of everything coming up over the next few weeks:

  • Registration deadlines for camp are creeping up.  Make sure you register before its too late!
  • Splash Attack @ the Fenton campus on June 5.  All students (6-12 grade) are invited.  Click here for more info and to register.  (Registration isn’t required, but its recommended - and it saves you a few bucks.)
  • “Aloha from Mid Rivers.”  We’re throwing a Luau @ the Mid Rivers campus on June 7.  Just like the Splash Attack, all students 6-12 grade are invited and registration is recommended.  Click here for more info and to register.
  • Finally, there will be no yc services the week of May 29-31.  Go study for finals or go to the pool or something instead.

As always, if you have any questions, always feel free to email us at youth@wcrossing.org or track us down on Facebook or Twitter.
